As we are well past the halfway point of the 2013 Card Player Poker Tour Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III, the series has undoubtedly been a tremendous success. The tournaments have ranged between $200 and $2,500 buy-ins and so far, over 19,000 players have entered the events, generating an overall prize pool of over $7.1 million. Games offered this summer include H.O.R.S.E., pot-limit Omaha, seven-card stud, triple stud and a number of no-limit hold’em variations.
Card Player will be providing reports and live coverage of the $5,000 buy-in main event, which starts July 13th.
Card Player TV recently caught up with Kathy Raymond, Director Of Poker Operations, and Tommy LaRosa, Poker Tournament Director of the Sands Poker Room to learn more about the Deep Stack Extravaganza III action so far.
Rooms are now available at The Venetian and Palazzo Hotel and Casino for the duration of the Extravaganza. The special rates are: $109 weekday (Sunday to Thursday) and $169 weekend (Friday to Saturday) (based on availability). Poker suite rates apply to all Deep Stack Extravaganza events $400 and higher or six hours of cash play per day in Las Vegas’ largest poker room.
