$448 Million Powerball Drawing Yields Three WinnersWinners Have Not Come Forward Yet As Of Early Thursday |

Wednesday night’s $448 million Powerball drawing had three winners.
According to Reuters, the Multi-State Lottery Association said two of the winning tickets were sold in New Jersey, and the third was in Minnesota. The winning numbers were 5, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32.
As of Thursday morning, no one reportedly had stepped forward to claim their portion of the massive prize.
The jackpot was originally at $400 million, but jumped to $425 million and then to $448 million by the time of the nationally televised drawing at 11 p.m. EDT.
The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 175.2 million.
The $448 million fell short of the largest jackpot in history, which was $656 million for the Mega Millions lottery in March 2012. Three people shared that prize as well.
Each Powerball ticket was $2.
The lump-sum payout for the $400 million would have been $230.3 million. It’s not clear yet, obviously, whether the winners will take a lump sum or the annuity.
In May, a Florida woman claimed a record $590.5 million Powerball prize. She was 84 years of age and opted for the lump-sum payout.
A total of 43 states offer Powerball.
