Another Atlantic City casino firm has partnered with a technology provider for New Jersey’s upcoming intrastate Internet gambling industry, according to Press of Atlantic City.
Tropicana Casino and Resort announced a deal with London-based Gamesys.
“We have always sought ambitious partners and Tropicana Atlantic City is a great partner for Gamesys as Internet gaming comes to New Jersey,” Noel Hayden, CEO of Gamesys, told Press of Atlantic City. “We look forward to working with the team at Tropicana to leverage the very best of the Gamesys platform and capabilities to serve existing customers and win new customers online.”
Gamesys runs Jackpotjoy.com, which offers games to some countries in Europe.
“Gamesys has a proven track record in the United Kingdom of providing excellent products and customer service, and we look forward to launching Tropicana’s Internet gaming business with them,” Tropicana Casino and Resort told the media outlet.
New Jersey is expected to kick off its online gambling industry with at least one operator this fall. The target date is Nov. 26, according to regulators in the Garden State.

Another London-based firm — 2UP Gaming — wants to get in on the New Jersey market. That firm has said it would either buy or build a casino in order to gain web access.
Only Atlantic Club Casino Hotel and Revel Casino-Hotel are still without a date to the online gambling dance. Atlantic City has 12 brick-and-mortar properties at present.
So far, 37 firms have applied to be involved with the new industry in some way.
