Be careful poker players. A card table sold at Wal-Mart is being recalled after reports of the item causing finger tip amputations and one full finger amputation.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released a posting to its website on Thursday that said the Mainstay five-piece card table set contains chairs which “can collapse unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard and a risk of finger injury, including finger amputation.”
About 73,400 are being recalled.
The sets were sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide and online from May 2013 through November 2013 for about $50. The manufacturer of the table and chairs is Heshan Camis Industrial Co. Ltd., of Guangdong, China. They were manufactured in China and Taiwan.
According to the Associated Press, card players should immediately stop using the set and return it to Wal-Mart for a full refund.
