Crazy things can happen when you drink and play cards.

A lost bet in a poker game resulted in a New Zealand man legally changing his name to “Full Metal Havok More Sexy N Intelligent Than Spock And All The Superheroes Combined With Frostnova”, the Telegraph reported. Now that’s a mouthful.

The name is 99 characters, just one short of the legal limit in the country.

The name appears on all of the man’s official documents.

For some reason, the country granted the request, even though it appears to violate one of the rules. According to the Telegraph, “under the rules, names are permitted unless they would cause offence to a reasonable person, are unreasonably long, include numbers or symbols, or without adequate justification include or resemble an official title or rank.”

Also, as Gawker pointed out, “New Zealand is notorious for rejecting strange baby names. In the past year alone, the country has shut down parents who wanted to call their children Majesty, King, Knight, Princess, Justice, Anal, V8, 89, Mafia No Fear, Lucifer, ., and *.”

This story is reminiscent of online poker site 888 offering New York Giants player Hakeem Nicks $88,800 to legally change his name to 888.com. The football player didn’t respond.
