Las Vegas StripAccording to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the state’s casinos took in just $926 million in February, a drop of 14 percent in year over year figures.

The biggest reason for the disappointing numbers was the Las Vegas Strip, where gambling revenue fell more than 20 percent to $556 million and South Lake Tahoe, where revenue fell nearly 10 percent to $15 million.

Meanwhile, in downtown Las Vegas, revenue was up 3 percent to $43 million.

The state’s cut from taxes during February was $59 million, 5 percent less than in 2013.
