Table games at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos brought in a record amount in March.
According to the state’s Gaming Control Board, revenue from the play of table games (which includes poker) at Pennsylvania’s casinos rose one percent during March, producing the highest level of revenue, $67.9 million, since the introduction of the games in July 2010.
The previous record of nearly $67.4 million was set in March 2013.
Slot machine revenue fell a bit in March 2014, resulting in year-over-year decline when talking about overall gaming revenue for the casinos.
The casino with the largest table game revenue during March 2014 was Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, which scooped nearly $15.3 million of the figure.
That casino reportedly is on the market.
The first casino opened in Pennsylvania in 2007, and in a short time span the state has overtaken neighboring New Jersey with regards to casino gaming win.
Pennsylvania is also taking a look at legalizing online gaming.
