The first open bracelet event of the 2014 World Series of Poker will awarded on Friday, May 30th to either Vanessa Selbst or Jason Mo.

A total of 131 players posted the $25,000 buy-in in the mixed-max no-limit hold’em event, but now only these two remain to battle it out for the title, the bracelet and the first place prize of $871,148.

If Selbst were to win she would become the first female player to win three WSOP gold bracelets in open events. Even if she finishes as the runner-up she will surpass $10 million in career live tournament earnings, which would put her on the verge of joining the top twenty on the all-time money list. She is already by far the highest earning female tournament player, with more than four million in earnings more than Kathy Liebert, her closest competitor.

Selbst will enter the final heads-up match with 3,960,000 in chips to Mo’s 5,860,000. Mo finished runner-up in the 2012 WSOP $10,000 head-up no-limit hold’em championship, falling to Brian Hastings in the final match. If he were to win on Friday he would capture his first bracelet and the largest live tournament cash of his career.
