A tribe in the state of Washington has canceled August Ted Nugent shows at its Emerald Queen Casino, citing what it sees as racist comments made by the musician.

The Puyallup Tribe said that community members voiced their opposition to the shows.

From King5.com:

Nugent in the past has referred to President Barack Obama as a “subhuman mongrel.” Nugent later apologized “for using the street fight terminology of subhuman mongrel.” But he maintained that Obama was a “liar” violating the Constitution.

Earlier this month, the Coeur d’Alene Casino in Idaho canceled its August Ted Nugent show because of “racist and hate-filled remarks” that it attributes to the musician.

The 65-year-old Nugent has defended his positions on Radio.com, adding that he has been the target of an “army assigned to destroy Ted Nugent.”
