He is one of the most aggressive and talented poker players on the planet, but Viktor Blom might have decided to skip the famed World Series of Poker in Las Vegas because of how unpleasant it gets in the Mojave Desert.
The Swedish poker pro told online training site NutBlocker in a recent interview:
I actually didn’t go to the WSOP this year because I prefer being in Sweden rather than Las Vegas during the summer. On top of that the World Cup has taken up a lot of my time and helped fill the gaps when there’s been a lack of cash game action.
Now, Blom did have a strong summer playing online cash games, winning around $500,000 during the time frame that the weeks-long WSOP was running. He deficit for 2014 stands at around $760,000, according to HighstakesDB. He was up more than $2 million in February.
Blom has three cashes lifetime in WSOP events.
He last showing at the summer WSOP was in 2012.
