The armored car company that was responsible for losing a bag containing nearly $21,000 belonging to Revel casino in Atlantic City has agreed to reimburse the casino, according to a report from the Associated Press.
The money fell off the roof of one of the trucks.
According to The Press of Atlantic City, an internal investigation by GardaWorld found no wrongdoing by the company. In other words, the driver was not involved with any sort of scheme to take the loot, according to GardaWorld.
GardaWorld made the cash pickup at Revel on Aug. 6 and lost it at some point during a routine trip between casinos.
A search reportedly failed to recover the money, so someone in Atlantic City is roughly $21,000 richer thanks to a fluke mistake.
Revel, a bankrupt casino, is set to close next month.
