An Ohio man is suing Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati for what he says was false imprisonment and malicious prosecution stemming for a slot jackpot he won in 2013.
According to reports, the amended complaint adds in the casino, after the gambler filed an original complaint against the city of Cincinnati back in March. The city settled for $4,250.
Mark DiSalvo, from Centerville, said he won the $2,000 jackpot but didn’t have the proper ID, and the casino said he could fill out paperwork to claim the money later. The suit alleges that when DiSalvo expressed discontent with the process because the casino didn’t provide the paperwork for a couple of hours, casino staff called the police on the disgruntled patron.
DiSalvo was eventually put in handcuffs, as the video below shows.
According to Bizjournals.com, DiSalvo’s attorney said his client offered to settle the case for $56,000, and the Horseshoe countered with a $10,000 offer.
