Tom Marchese emerged victorious in the second $100,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em super high roller event hosted by Aria Resort & Casino, topping a tough field of 22 players to capture his tenth career title and the $1,306,800 first-place prize.

Marchese, who won the Card Player Player of the Year award in 2010, now has over $7.5 million in live tournament earnings. In June he placed third in another six-figure buy-in event at the Bellagio for $1,465,451. Now with this latest win his year-to-date earnings exceed $2.7 million and he has climbed into 135th place in the Player of the Year race standings.

Joining Marchese in the money in this event were runner-up Cary Katz (2nd – $653,400) and Brian Rast (3rd- $217,800). Andrew Robl was eliminated on the six-figure money bubble when he ran the K Diamond Suit9Club Suit into Rast’s KHeart SuitQSpade Suit and was unable to come from behind.

Other notables to participate in the event include POY contenders Jake Schindler and Doug Polk, as well as high-roller regulars Phillipp Gruissem, Igor Kurganov, Joseph Cheong, Roger Sippl and David Sands.

Here is a look at the payouts and POY points awarded at this final table:

1 Thomas Marchese $1,306,800 600
