French poker pro Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau had a rough week at the online poker tables, dropping more than $300,000, according to tracking data from HighstakesDB.
Most of his losses occurred at the $2,000-$4,000 triple draw tables over at Full Tilt. The only person who lost more over the past seven days was German limit hold’em specialist kagome kagome.
Poker pro Phil Ivey had a solid week, winning more than $200,000. Ivey did some serious grinding at $2,000-$4,000 limit Omaha eight-or-better and $1,000-$2,000 deuce-to-seven triple draw. Ivey is still down more than $2 million on 2014 as the year winds down, though.
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was in action t his week after taking some time off recently, and he played deuce-to-seven triple draw on PokerStars. He was playing as low as $50-$100, which are not his usual stakes.
He has lost more than $1.8 million this year. This fall, Blom saw his sponsorship deal with Full Tilt end. According to the company’s statement, it wasn’t because of his performance at the tables.
There have been stretches this year with a lot of nosebleed action, but the month of December has been really, really slow. The largest pot of the past week was a $54,000 hand at deuce-to-seven triple draw. Only one pot this month has reached six figures.
