Sports books in the Silver State saw $115,986,086 in wagers on this past Sunday’s Super Bowl and won $3,261,066 of it, according to figures released Tuesday from Nevada gaming regulations.
The hold percentage was 2.8 percent, the lowest since the 2011 Super Bowl.
Seattle was the favorite this past weekend, but New England edged them out 28-24.
Nevada has 191 sports books, and the industry has grown to record levels lately.
Last year, $119,400,822 was bet on the Super Bowl and Nevada sports books won $19,673,960 for a hold percentage of 16.5 percent. Both dollar amounts are records.
The entire Nevada gambling industry is roughly $11 billion annually.
