Kentucky Casino Bill Faces Long OddsProposal To Authorize Up To Six Casinos Introduced Last Week |

Like it did last year, the state of Kentucky is once again looking at casinos, but the 2015 efforts are facing long odds, according to a report from The Courier-Journal.
The proposal was filed last week. It would give the green light for up to six casinos in the state, which would provide revenue for education and also stabilize the horse racing industry.
According to the report, Senate Majority Floor Leader Damon Thayer, R-Georgetown, said the issue “has lost a lot of momentum.”
Bringing commercial casinos to the state has been under consideration for 16 straight legislative sessions, but nothing has ever come to fruition.
Late last year, a bill seeking to ban online gambling was introduced into the legislature.
