According to the Sun Sentinel, a parking lot in Fort Lauderdale was home to a stabbing on Friday night that allegedly occurred over a $5 gambling debt between two men.
Anthony Lemar Mells, 51, is accused of stabbing a man he has known for years twice in the stomach and once in the head. He is facing an attempted murder charge. One of the stabs went into the victim’s bowel.
The victim is apparently expected to survive.
The occurrences of off-the-wall Florida incidents are almost too frequent to appropriately chronicle. Last month, Buzzfeed reported on 24 stupid things that happened in the Sunshine State—in the first week of 2015.
