Poker Helps Save Man From Going To Jail: Report

Playing Cards Used As An Alibi For Brooklyn Man

A man from New York City reportedly was able to successfully use playing poker at a casino in Atlantic City has an alibi to prevent him from getting arrested and charged for a crime he didn’t commit.

The New York Post reported that 26-year-old Frank Baffi Jr. was accused of being involved with a robbery in Brooklyn after the victim mentioned him by name. It turned out that Baffi was playing poker at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City, which he was able to prove thanks a receipt from his trip to the casino, as well as through the casino’s video system.

The report indicated that Baffi was set to be sent to Rikers Island because of the mention of his name. His lawyer said that at first police declined to investigate his alibi.
