Hooters Casino Hotel, located just off the Las Vegas Strip, has been sold for $70 million, according to a report from the Associated Press. New York-based Trinity Hotel Investors LLC is the buyer.
Next door to the property is the Tropicana, which recently sold to Penn National Gaming for $360 million, giving Penn its first Strip property.
Hooters Casino Hotel originally opened in 1973 as Hotel San Remo. It become a Hooters-branded property in 2006. Earlier this year, the property closed its poker room.
It’s unclear what Trinity Hotel Investors plans to do with the property, the report said.
Early last month, Hooters announced that a new location would be opening at the Palms Casino Resort. With more than 500 seats, it’s the largest Hooters in the country, the company said.
