Ben Yu has achieved many things by the age of 29. He graduated from Stanford University. He had a career as a professional break dancer. He also writes a strategy column for Card Player magazine. But Friday night, Yu recorded his most exciting accomplishment to date, winning a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Yu topped a field of 117 players in the WSOP $10,000 limit hold’em championship, earning the hardware and the $291,456 first-place prize.

“It’s really big to win this for me,” Yu said. “The most important thing to me since I was 16 was to come here and win a WSOP event. Back in 2003 and 2004, like so many people I saw Moneymaker and decided to get into the game. That’s when I started dreaming about playing and winning an event at the WSOP.”

In order to secure the victory, Yu had to overcome a stacked final table that included former bracelet winners Marco Johnson (8th), Justin Bonomo (3rd) and Jesse Martin (2nd), as well as notable poker pros Terrence Chan (9th), Gabriel Nassif (7th), Kenny Shei (6th), Anthony Zinno (5th) and Aleksandr Denisov (4th).

On the final hand Martin raised to 120,000 and Yu three-bet to 180,000 from the button. Martin made the call, leaving himself with less than a bet behind. The flop came down AHeart SuitJSpade Suit10Diamond Suit and Yu bet. Martin called all-in and flipped up the QSpade Suit3Diamond Suit for a straight draw.

Yu had flopped top two pair with the ADiamond SuitJDiamond Suit. The 6Club Suit on the turn left Yu one card away from the title as long as a king didn’t hit the river. The JHeart Suit on the end gave Yu the full house, sending Martin to the rail as the runner up with $180,114.

For making his eighth final table of the year, Zinno was given 250 Card Player Player of the Year points, giving him a total of 5,066 in 2015. That puts him 1,315 points ahead of nearest competitor, Joe Kuether.

Here is a look at the payouts and POY points awarded at this final table:
