In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. FLORIDA
- The 2015 CPPT bestbet Jacksonville (Aug 13, ‘15 – Aug 24, ’15) The Card Player Poker Tour returned to bestbet Jacksonville last week for the latest action-packed stop on the tour’s third season. Their poker room is Florida’s largest with 70 poker tables, which will play host to a 21-event series over the two week series. The $300,000 guaranteed $1,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em CPPT bestbet Jacksonville main event begins with the first of two starting days at noon on Aug. 21 and continues until a champion is decided on Aug. 24 at the live stream CPPT final table.
- The 2015 Summer Deep Stack Series (Aug 20, ‘15 – Aug 30, ’15) The Seminole Hard Rock Casino Tampa has a 10-event tournament series beginning this week, with the kickoff event being a $150,000 guaranteed $350 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. There are six starting flights, with 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM start times on Aug. 20 – 22.
NORTHEAST
- The 2015 Pittsburgh Poker Open Summer Series (Aug 13, ‘15 – Aug 24, ’15) The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA launched into a 24-event tournament series last week. The centerpiece of the whole affair gets underway in the next few days, the $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event. The tournament features two starting days, each beginning at noon local time on Aug. 21 and 22.
- The 2015 WSOP Circuit Baltimore (Aug 20, ‘15 – Aug 31, ’15) The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Maryland is the next stop on the World Series of Poker Circuit. The 12-event poker series kicks off this week, with the early highlight being a $350,000 guaranteed $365 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. The tournament sports four starting flights, with 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM start times on Aug. 21 and 22.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2015 WPT Legends of Poker (Jul 28, ‘15 – Sep 04, ’15) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens is in the midst of it’s massive Legends of Poker festival that began in late July and will continue into early September. The highlight of this week is a $1 million guaranteed $160 buy-in no-limit hold’em re-entry event. The tournament features 28 starting flights, with three each day beginning at noon, 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM from Aug. 14 – 24.
NEVADA
- The 2015 Aria High Roller XI and XII (Aug 21, ‘15 – Aug 22, ’15) The Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is once again hosting a back-to-back set of $25,000 high roller no-limit hold’em events this week. Both tournaments begin at 2:00 PM local time on Aug. 21 and 22.
INTERNATIONAL
- The 2015 EPT Barcelona (Aug 19, ‘15 – Aug 30, ’15) The European Poker Tour kicks off it’s twelfth season in Spain at the Casino Barcelona. The 71-event tournament series kicks off with the Estrellas Poker Tour €1,100 no-limit hold’em main event, which begins with the first of three starting days at noon on Aug. 19. There will also be a €50,000 buy-in high roller event this week, beginning at 12:30 local time on Aug. 22.
