Martin FingerMartin Finger has emerged victorious in the 2015 European Poker Tour Barcelona €25,500 “single-day” high roller no-limit hold’em event. The tournament was indeed scheduled to last only one day, but the huge turnout that built a total prize pool of €3,724,000 ($4,175,367 USD) meant that three players, including Finger and former EPT San Remo champion Liv Boeree, returned today to play down to a champion.

For the win Finger was awarded €865,900 ($1,004,444 USD), the second largest payday of his career. The German poker pro now has more than $6.2 million in live tournament earnings, including a WSOP gold bracelet and a win in the 2011 EPT Prague main event.

In addition to the title and the prize money Finger also earned 1,008 Card Player Player of the Year points. This was his fourth final table finish of the year, including a runner-up showing in the $3,000 LAPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event for $223,900 and 1140 points in January. Finger has climbed to 13th place in the overall POY standings as a result, with 2,668 points and $1,800,396 in year-to-date earnings.

Finger came into the final day with nearly twice the chips of Boeree and Mark Teltscher, who were essentially tied with 3,860,000 and 3,700,000. Boeree was the first to fall when she shoved ten big blinds with the QClub Suit10Heart Suit and lost to Teltscher’s AClub Suit4Diamond Suit. She earned €391,000 ($453,560 USD) for her deep run, the second largest score of her career.

Teltscher began heads-up play with 8.9 million to Finger’s 6.4 million, but Finger picked up pocket jacks against KDiamond SuitQSpade Suit and held to take a sizable lead. Minutes later it was all over and Teltscher was sent to the rail as the runner up with €586,500 ($680,340 USD).

Here is a look at the payouts awarded at the final table of this event:
