Bodog $50K Guar. Tourneys Still Have Huge Overlays

Tourneys Averaging 650 Players and $17K in Dead Money

The Tuesday and Wednesday guaranteed prize pool tournaments at Bodog are still seeing huge overlays, despite the site dropping the guarantees from $70,000 to $50,000.

The two $50,000-guaranteed tournaments - held at 8:30 p.m. EST on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - are consistently seeing an average of around 650 entrants each time they run. With a $50 buy-in, those entry numbers mean the tournaments regularly have overlays of over $17,000.

The tournaments are "double stack" tournaments, meaning players start with double the normal allotment of chips, for a total of $3,000. The amount of dead money in the tournaments (because of the overlays), along with the deeper stacks and a relatively leisurely blinds structure, make these tournaments an excellent deal for players at the moment.

The tournaments have had huge overlays since their inception. As a comparison, when the tournaments had a $70,000 guarantee, the overlays were ranging from $17,000-$28,000.

Those interested in taking advantage of the overlay tournaments can do so by clicking here.
