The past week on PokerStars featured some consistent high-stakes pot-limit Omaha action with Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky sitting as the big winners with $636,620 and $837,798 in profits respectively, according to data from HighstakesDB.

The $200-$400 PLO sessions also featrued the likes of Ike Haxton, Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen, Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser, BERRI SWEET, Phil “RaiseOnce” Ivey and JayP-AA.

BERRI SWEET was a big loser on the week, dropping $720,738 since Sunday.

It took Blom 16,317 hands to win $636,000, while it took Sulsky 7,998 to have $837,000 in winnings. Some of the action at PLO was just Blom and Sulsky battling heads-up, with the New Hampshire native getting the better of the Swede yesterday for around $270,000.

Blom began the week dropping roughly $600,000, but it was mostly one big upswing since last Friday. Sulsky’s week was more consistent, as he never had a losing session.

The largest hand of Blom and Sulsky’s head-up sessions was a pot worth $294,582.

The pot was six-bet preflop, with $38,000 from each player going into the middle before three cards hit the virtual felt. Blom held the ADiamond Suit JDiamond Suit JClub Suit QSpade Suit, while Sulsky had the KHeart Suit KSpade Suit 10Diamond Suit 8Heart Suit.

The flop fell 10Spade Suit 9Heart Suit 2Heart Suit.

Blom bet out pot, and Sulsky put him all in for roughly $108,000 in total. Blom called, and they elected to run it twice. The first run-out was the 8Diamond Suit 7Diamond Suit, giving that half to Blom with a straight, and the second run-out was the 5Club Suit 5Diamond Suit, which was safe for Sulsky’s kings.

According to Card Player’s Omaha odds calculator, Blom wins about a quarter of the time, as Sulsky had his pair beat and a significantly better drawing hand.

Thanks to a strong summer at the WSOP, Sulsky has poker winnings this year in excess of $2.8 million. Blom is up $3.3 million, all coming online.
