Card Player Poker Tour Bike -- Osmin Dardon Leads Final 17Winner Will Take Home $155,535 in Los Angeles on Wednesday |
|
After 28 players decided to buy-in directly to Day 2 of the Card Player Poker Tour Big Poker Oktober $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event at the Bicycle Casino, there was a total of 521 players in the tournament. That made for a total prize pool of $586,850 and the top 54 players cashed for at least $2,405. The eventual champion will take home the top prize of $155,535 at the conclusion of the final table on Wednesday here in Los Angeles, California.
There were 152 players in the field when cards got into the air for Day 2 on Tuesday, and the first order of business was the march down to the money bubble. Notables that were lost along that path were Allen Cunningham, Susie Zhao, Sam Stein, Peter Hengsakul, Ron Jenkins, Samantha Abernathy, Dan Heimiller, Vadim Baranovsky, Cord Garcia, Eric Hershler, Chris DeMaci, Barry Hutter, and Nick Grippo.
The bubble busted just before the start of dinner break, and when the players returned there was a rush of eliminations, contrary to the usual post-dinner lull in a poker tournament. The notables that cashed today were Nipun Java (51st), Matt Salsberg (47th), Alan Myerson (40th), Bruce Buffer (35th), Chris Grigorian (33rd), Jordan Cristos (26th), November Niner Max Steinberg (20th), and Bobby Suer (19th).
The chip leader among the 17 that advanced tonight was Osmin Dardon with 3,590,000. Joining him at the top of the counts are Duey Duong (2,835,000), Lu Wang (1,610,000), Mel Weiner (1,520,000), Jordan Warkol (1,455,000), Phuoc Nguyen (1,365,000), and Brent Hart (1,005,000). The returning field will include familiar faces Lily Kiletto, Bruce Kramer, and two-time WSOP gold bracelet winner John Monnette.
The final day of the tournament will begin at 2 p.m. PT on Wednesday. You can catch all of the action here in Live Updates from the Card Player reporting team, and the final table will also be streamed on Live at the Bike.
