Card Player Player of the Year Leader Anthony Zinno Wins Sixth Title Of 2015American Poker Pro Surpasses $3.4 Million In Earnings For The Year |

Anthony Zinno is a three-time World Poker Tour main event champion, a World Series of Poker bracelet winner and the current favorite to win the 2015 Card Player Player of the Year race.
This week he achieved one of the few accomplishments missing from his incredible resume by taking down an event on the European Poker Tour. It was not an EPT main event, but Zinno did emerge victorious in the €5,300 buy-in pot-limit Omaha eight-max side event.
The tournament drew 41 total entries to build a prize pool of €198,850. As a result of the smaller turnout this event did not meet the requirements for number of entries or minimum prize pool to qualify for the Player of the Year race, but a win is still a win.
Zinno hardly needs the POY points anyway, as he currently holds a lead of 974 points over his nearest competitor Joe Kuether in the standings.
This lead is due to the fact that Zinno has won an incredible five POY qualified titles
so far this year and made 11 final tables. His titles include two WPT main event championships and his first gold bracelet win, which came in the WSOP $25,000 pot-limit Omaha eight-max event.
All told he has accumulated 6,632 points and earnings of over $3.4 million in live tournament earnings.
Here is a look at the payouts in this event:
Place | Player | Earnings (USD) |
1 | Anthony Zinno | $74,371 |
2 | Tom Aksell Bedell | $51,403 |
3 | Corey Hochman | $32,808 |
4 | Lauri Varonen | $25,157 |
5 | Jerzy Slaby | $19,685 |
6 | Lucaas Van Den Belt | $15,312 |
