Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg will host the first stop of Season 4 for Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) Regional Tournament Series. The 11-day series will run from Thursday, Nov. 12 through Sunday, Nov. 22 with tournaments daily for poker players of all skill levels. Early on, the buy-ins range from $70 to $300 while the final weekend features a $1,115 buy-in Regional Championship.

Chris Moneymaker, who won the HPO St. Louis main event in 2014“The HPO brings a first-class tournament series with great structures and reasonable buy-ins at designated Regional Penn properties across the country,” said ambassador Chris Moneymaker. “I’m very proud to be back as a spokesperson and I can’t wait to sit down and play in event #1 in Indiana.”

Event #1 kicks off with a $235 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Feature Event at 3:15pm Nov. 12. The winners of each Feature Event (11) will receive an HPO Regional Trophy as well as points toward a Regional Leaderboard competition.

Both the Regional Main Event and the Regional Leaderboard promotion winner will receive a seat into the Season 4 Championship Event, June 24, 2016 at the M Resort in Las Vegas. Previous seasons have seen the championship prize pool average close to $1.5 million dollars.

“The Penn Gaming properties (22 in all) have sent hundreds of players to the HPO Las Vegas Championship annually throughout the past three seasons, and intend to do that again this year,” said Tournament Director Bill Bruce. “Going forward we are also going to make a big push to give away seats to each Regional Main Event with promotions leading up to the event. I expect the $1,115 buy-in Regional Main Events to have a large number of players who win their seat via pre-promotions and giveaways.”

“We couldn’t be happier that we’re the first stop of the tournament again this year,” said Brad Hinson. “At Lawrenceburg, we have been running promotions giving away Regional Main Event seats for some time now and we’ll also be adding seats to several of the prelims. Our patrons like the opportunity to play the HPO branded events as well as play along side Chris Moneymaker in the tournaments and live side games.”

Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg will have special hotel rates for tournament participants and invites patrons to visit attractions like the Final Cut, the awarding winning steak house, and nightclub Boogie Nights: The Ultimate 70s & 80s Dance Club.
