The world’s only 24/7 television network devoted to poker has inked a deal to expand its viewership. Las Vegas-based Poker Central made the announcement Monday in a press release.
The news comes the week after the much-anticipated premier of the Poker Central’s $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Cash Game, which was filmed this past summer in Las Vegas.
Poker Central said it has entered into a comprehensive and long-term agreement with the National Cable Television Cooperative. Under the deal, NCTC will offer Poker Central to nearly 850 small and independent cable operators. It’s Poker Central’s first deal with a cable provider.
“We are thrilled that Poker Central is now available to the nearly 900 member companies that contract through the NCTC,” Sid Eshleman, Chief Distribution Officer, said in a statement. “We know first-hand the value the NCTC represents and appreciate their partnership in rolling out Poker Central to viewers across the U.S.”
Poker Central is currently available through Amazon fireTV, the Apple App Store, Roku TV and XBOX. Poker Central launched on Oct. 1 and is available in over 26 countries. The company says that it “reaches a highly sought-after young, male audience.”
Poker Central is endorsed and backed by poker legends Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari and Daniel Negreanu.
