“KidPoker”, a PokerStars Original Films documentary, is now available to watch on Netflix in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, PokerStars announced Wednesday.
The feature-length film is about poker pro Daniel Negreanu, who PokerStars calls “the world’s greatest, and most outspoken, poker player.” Negreanu is sponsored by PokerStars.
KidPoker begins with Negreanu’s childhood in Canada and his pool-hustling days in Toronto.
“This is a story of clear intention and determination, in that the odds were stacked against me, especially in the early years," Negreanu said in a statement.
“I want this to be an inspirational film, so that when people watch it, they feel they can get back on the horse and pursue their dreams too.”
It also focuses on his career highlights, like his induction into the Poker Hall of Fame, and him winning six World Series of Poker bracelets and two World Poker Tour titles.
The documentary has a mix of personal stories and appearances from the likes of Vanessa Selbst, Phil Ivey and Antonio Esfandiari.
