The $1,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event at the 2016 World Series of Poker featured 2,242 entrants, generating a prize pool of $2,017,800. After three days of play, the bracelet and the $316,920 first-place prize went to 28-year-old poker pro Chase Bianchi.

This was not only Bianchi’s first bracelet, but also his first final table appearance and first cash at the WSOP. The Columbia, Maryland resident does have a lot of WSOP Circuit experience, however, and regularly live streams his poker play on Twitch.

“This is one of the last ones I was playing," said Bianchi. "I’ve been out here for about two weeks. I have a flight booked for tomorrow afternoon. Couldn’t have written it any better.”

The final table featured notables in Roberto Romanello (3rd) and Christopher Leong (9th). Other players to make deep runs in the event included Danny Wong (14th), James Mackey (15th), Jeff Gross (23rd), Mike Telker (26th), Dan Weinman (28th), Tom Dobrilovic (29th) and Steve Gee (45th).
