Gambling in Macau yielded 15.9 billion patacas, or $2 billion USD, during the month of June, according to figures released by the city’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The amount was an 8.5-percent decrease compared to June 2015 and also marked 25 straight months of year-over-year gaming revenue decline in the former Portuguese colony. Macau had a record $45.2 billion in gaming revenue in 2013, which, at that peak, was roughly four times the Nevada gambling market.

According to Bloomberg, the $2 billion was the smallest win for the casinos since September 2010. Though, the industry’s focus has shifted to non-high rollers, due to government pressure, and the gambling market is expected to rebound after the opening of new projects from Wynn Macau and Sands China. Both of those projects are slated to open this year.

Bloomberg reported recently that gaming win still represents about 90 percent of the Macau casino industry’s total revenue, more than double the percentage that gaming win accounts for in Nevada’s casino industry.
