Gambler Has Sweat After Putting $10,000 On Team USA Over Australia To Win Just $100Americans Win 98-88 After Pulling Away In Fourth Quarter |

A sports bettor at a William Hill sports book on the Las Vegas Strip reportedly bet $10,000 on Team USA to beat Australia straight-up at -10,000 odds.
The U.S. basketball team ended up winning 98-88, but they were trailing to the Australians at halftime. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that Team USA pulled away. A three-pointer with about 1:30 left in the game put Team USA up 93-86.
The American basketball program has won 71 consecutive international games and is 83-1 since 2006. That loss came against Greece in the 2006 World Championships in Japan.
Despite only being able to win such a measly amount for the bet, the anonymous gambler wagered the five-figure sum that the streak wouldn’t be snapped on Wednesday.
