Matt McEwan Leads With Phil Laak Among Players Battling For The $120,685 Top Prize

The final day of the 2016 Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Hotel & Casino $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event kicks off at 2 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Oct. 19. From a field of 433 total entries now only 18 players remain to battle it out for the title and the first-place prize of $120,685.

The chip leader heading into the final day is Matt McEwan with 2,200,000. Other notable players still in with a shot at the title include Phil Laak (1,680,000), Phong “Turbo” Nguyen (810,000), Michael Rocco (400,000), Dana Kellstrom (265,000) and Joshua Field (260,000).

Phil Laak among the final 18This tournament featured a $400,000 guaranteed prize pool that was easily surpassed this year.

The 407 entries for the standard starting flights and 26 direct entries who made use of the Quantum Reload format to buy in on day 2 for $4,300 built a final prize pool of $495,670.

The remaining 18 players are all now guaranteed at least a $4,710 payday. The top eight finishers will all make five-figure or higher scores. In 2015 Oddie Dardon defeated Lily Kiletto heads-up at an exciting final table to capture the title.
