Has The Borgata Casino Felted Poker Pro Phil Ivey?Atlantic City Casino Now Demanding $15.5 Million From The 10-Time Bracelet Winner |

Poker legend Phil Ivey has not been running well lately.
Atlantic City’s Borgata casino, the largest in terms of revenue in the seaside gambling town, wants $15.5 million from the 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.
Less than a month ago, a judge ruled that Ivey didn’t commit fraud by edge sorting in a series of 2012 baccarat sessions, but he did breach his contract with the casino because he broke the rules simply by gaining an edge against the house.
The casino had a few weeks to outline what it thinks it’s owed. The casino paid Ivey nearly $10 million, and it wants that back, in addition to more money.
The Borgata wants hundreds of thousands in comps returned and $5.4 million that it thinks it would have won from Ivey had he been playing straight up.
Ivey has maintained that being an advantage player isn’t cheating.
Earlier this month, Ivey saw a judge rule against him in a similar edge sorting case in the UK. Unlike the Borgata, Crockfords Casino didn’t pay Ivey his 7.8 million pounds in winnings.
The New Jersey native has more than $23 million in lifetime tournament earnings, but hasn’t cashed in a tournament since January and missed almost all of this year’s WSOP.
