The Brazilian Poker Association, consisting of the state federations of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Bahia, has officially licensed the Card Player brand and content in its efforts to promote poker in one of the richest countries in South America. In Brazil, there are more users of high-speed Internet service (5 million) than in any other country in South America.

"Card Player Media, with our partners, continues to answer the global need for poker information," said Jeff Shulman, Card Player President and C.O.O. "We are thrilled that Card Player Brazil will be the first poker magazine published in Portuguese and specifically targeted to Brazilian poker players."
