In a scramble to keep its football team from moving to Las Vegas, the city of Oakland has come up with a new stadium plan. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the proposal calls for a $1.3 billion stadium, about $600 million less than what has been pitched in Nevada.

The plan to keep the Raiders in Oakland includes $600 million in private investment, a combined $500 million from the Raiders and the NFL, as well as $200 million in public money, the report said. In Nevada, lawmakers approved a public contribution of $750 million.

NFL owners are scheduled to have a meeting on Dec. 14, and Oakland reportedly is trying to have the plan finalized by then. Despite Oakland’s plan starting to materialize, Raiders owner Mark Davis has remained publicly committed to Las Vegas.

The proposed stadium in Las Vegas would have 65,000 seats, nearly 10,000 more than the Oakland Coliseum, which opened decades ago and is also home to the Oakland Athletics.
