Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino, in Gardena, California is kicking off 2017 in style with a huge poker tournament series. The 2017 Poker Player’s Tournament series will run from January 2-14 and feature more than $800,000 in guaranteed prize pools.
The series kicks off with a $50,000 guaranteed $275 buy-in no-limit hold’em Super Monster event beginning on Jan. 2 at 12:30 PM local time. Players start with 50,000 in chips.
The next major highlight of the series is the $500,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em event that will run from Jan. 4-9. The $400 buy-in tournament offers two starting flights each day from Jan. 4-8, each beginning at 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Players begin with 25,000 in chips in this event. Of those who play on Jan. 4, ten percent will qualify for day 2, while nine percent of Jan. 5 players will qualify. Eight percent of those who play on Jan. 6-8 will qualify. The players who make it through their starting flight will return on Jan. 9 at 2:00 PM to play down to a champion. On day 2 all levels will be 40 mins long, with blinds resuming at 2,000 – 4,000.
The final major event of the series is a $250,000 guaranteed $250 buy-in no-limit hold’em event that will run from Jan. 10-14. It will also feature starting flights at 12:30 and 5:00 PM from Jan. 10-13.
Of those who play the Jan. 10 starting flights the top 15 percent will advance to the finals and make the money. of those who play the Jan. 11-13 starting flights, 12 percent of players will advance to the final day and 15 percent will make the money.
Players can also take advantage of the unique Quantum Reload tournament format in this event and directly buy in to day 2 for $1,700. Players who take this option will receive 210,000 in chips with the blinds set to resume at 1,500 – 3,000 with an ante of 500.
