Poker Hall of Famer Doyle Brunson apparently had a wild cash game session on Tuesday evening in Las Vegas.
The 83-year-old said Wednesday on Twitter that he saw a player run just three big bets in the $2,000-$4,000 mixed game up to a $550,000 stack. Brunson declined to reveal the identity of the player and didn’t say what the person had originally bought in for.
Minutes later, Brunson said that he also witnessed two unnamed high-stakes players apparently get into a heated argument that resulted in $150,000 worth of poker chips being thrown onto the floor in the Bellagio’s poker room.
Brunson said in another Tweet that he lost about $150,000 in the game. Despite retiring from WSOP tournaments, Brunson is still a fixture in Las Vegas’ high-stakes cash games.
