People.com reports that actor Mike Epps, known for his work in “The Hangover,” “Next Friday” and the “Resident Evil” franchise, has been arrested for striking another man at a casino in New Orleans on Saturday.

Epps was taken into custody along with friend and collaborator Thomas Cobb. Both men have been charged with battery. They were released on $1,000 bail.

The victim reportedly was cashing out his chips when the physical altercation took place. It’s not clear what provoked it. There’s a video of the incident, but authorities haven’t released it to the public.

According to a report from The Advocate, the unidentified victim said he had bruising and was bleeding after the incident.

Epps was in town to perform at a comedy festival on Friday night.
