Upswing Poker has teamed up with Card Player to bring you some exclusive poker strategy content. In this video Fee offers up five tips for playing live no-limit hold’em cash games.
“First things first… you should basically never limp when you are the first player entering the pot. If you are entering the pot then you likely have a good hand, you want to raise to not allow weaker holdings to see a flop cheaply behind you and you want to be able to steal the blinds. You don’t want to have both a limping and a raising range, because then it’s too easy for people to fold when you raise and when you limp they can raise you with weaker hands.”
The other four tips include discussions on why you should: three-bet preflop, bet the turn and river, call with a lot of hands from the big blind when the button is the first player to raise, and finally, Fee recommends playing deep stacked once you feel comfortable in the game. Each of the five tips are discussed in detail, so make sure to check out the full video at the top of the story for more of Fee’s advice on playing no-limit hold’em cash games in a live setting.
