The Empire State Hold’em Championships series is in full swing at New York’s Turning Stone Poker Room. If you haven’t made it out yet, don’t worry, because players still have another week to get in on the action.
The last large event on the schedule, a $50,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em tournament, has six starting flights beginning Thursday, Aug. 17 and there are at least four turbo qualifier’s still left to play out with one out of every five players winning a seat. The $50,000 guarantee event has a buy-in of just $210+$30+$10.
Wrapping up the Empire State Hold’em Championships will be a no-limit hold’em Deep Stack Turbo event including a $50 bounty with a buy-in of $200+$20+$10 giving you a starting stack of 30,000 chips, 20-minute blinds, and re-entries for eight levels to build a nice prizepool.
Many of the cash players at Turning Stone have been having a bountiful August with $200 High Hand prizes Sunday through Thursday, $300 High Hand prizes on Friday. The Jumbo Bad Beat Jackpot is getting close to $400,000, with a qualifying hand to beat that is only aces full of kings (using both hole cards)!
