Andrew Wisdom Leads Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Casino Main Event After Day 1125 Total Players Advance, Registration Still Open For Day 2 With Quantum Reload Option |
|
The third and final day 1 starting flight of the Card Player Poker Tour main event drew a massive field of 241 entries, which when added to the 261 players from day 1a and 1b, has assured that the $400,000 guarantee will be crushed when all is said and done.
Of course, the prize pool has yet to be finalized, because players can still take advantage of this event’s quantum reload option, which allows players to buy-in in on day 2 for an increased price of $4,300. In exchange, they’ll receive an average stack of 120,000, or 60 big blinds.
There are a total of 124 players who have advanced to day 2. Leading the way is Andrew Wisdom, who bagged up with a whopping 359,500. Wisdom found himself very short stacked early in the day, but turned things around when he picked off a big bluff for his tournament life against WSOP bracelet winner Upeshka De Silva.
Other notables who survived to day 2 include Owen Crowe, Kevin Song, Nipun Java, Men Nguyen, Kelly Minkin, Sean Jazayeri, Daniel Strelitz, Chris Grigorian, Chris DeMaci, and Melanie Weisner.
Be sure to check back in the coming days for more action from the Bicycle Hotel & Casino as the field plays down to a winner, with the final table being streamed on Live At The Bike! this Wednesday.
