The PCA ha officially returned!

And not just in name. The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which spent the last year known as the PokerStars Championship Bahamas, has returned for another series at the beautiful Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. To celebrate the occasion, PokerStars has packed the nine-day tournament schedule with 31 events between Jan. 6-14, including the recently re-instated $10,300 buy-in main event.

The action begins Saturday with $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller tournament that features unlimited re-entries and 250,000 in starting chips. There will also be a $550 no-limit hold’em freezeout and a $160 qualifier for the $1,650 buy-in PCA National.

One of the most anticipated events on the tournament calendar already, the PCA is getting an additional boost directly from PokerStars, which has committed to giving back to the players.

In addition to a player lounge complete with a bar and VR stations, final table gifts that include iPads, GoPros, digital cameras and more, player bags, and an enormous party to celebrate the series, PokerStars is also putting up $100,000 in cash prizes.

It starts with a $50,000 player giveaway where six lucky players will have the chance of winning a share of the huge prize, with first place taking home $20,000, in a random drawing. Second place will win $10,000 and third through sixth place will win $5,000.

Players can earn draw tickets by taking their seat in any tournament before the end of the first level (five tickets), finishing on the bubble of any event (five tickets), or by finishing in the money (one ticket). Even cash game players can earn draw tickets by making a full house (one ticket), quads (two tickets) or a Royal flush (three tickets). There are also high hand bonuses throughout the series.

Anyone who plays in a PCA event will automatically qualify for a $50,000 live freeroll, which takes place on Jan. 14. The added prizes, along with the reduced administration fees on all tournaments, ensures that this year’s PCA will be one of the biggest ever.
