Polk has teamed up with fellow bracelet winner Ryan Fee to offer the Upswing Poker Lab

The Upswing Poker Lab is a poker training course taught by Polk and Fee that is updated regularly with in-depth learning modules, theory videos, and a wealth of information to make you a better poker player.

Upswing Poker has partnered with Card Player to bring you some exclusive poker strategy content. In this video, Polk discusses how to choose which hands to bluff with on the flop.

Upswing Poker's Doug Polk“There are lots of things to think about when you have your not-strong hands on the flop. When you do have a good hand on the flop it is really simple, go ahead and bet. Build that pot!” says Polk early on in the video. “The more tricky question is how to play with our bluffs and semi-bluffs.”

Polk goes on to break down how to approach good draws, midling draws and bad draws on the flop, ultimately summing it up as follows:

“Good draws, a mix of check and bet. Midling draw, you want to be betting. With our weakest draws, it depends on the board. If it is a board with a lot of draws I tend to be more likely to check and possibly bluff another street,” says Polk.
