Borgata Summer Poker Open Starts

First Event Attracts More Than 450 Players

While both the World Series of Poker and the Bellagio Cup III are going on in Las Vegas - just one of a handful events taking place in Las Vegas this month - the Borgata in Atlantic City has just launched its Summer Open yesterday with a $560 no-limit event that attracted 456 entrants.

The Summer Open is an 11-event series of 10 no-limit hold'em events and one stud event that climaxes with a $5,200 championship event on Saturday, June 23. It also includes a $560 WSOP main event qualifier on Sunday.

The preliminary events held cost $400, $560, $810, $1,060. The ladies event costs $300. Listed prices include the casino juice. All the tournaments are one-day affairs.
