Maryland Poker Rooms Rake $22 Million Through First Half Of 2018

Poker Market Down 1.3 Percent Compared To Same Period Last Year

Maryland casino regulators said this week that the state’s poker rooms raked $3.39 million in June, bringing poker revenue on the year to $21.98 million.

Poker is a non-banked game. The house-banked games such as blackjack generated $51.8 million in revenue in June, and $304.3 million through the first six months of the year, according to the state figures.

Here’s a look at the individual poker rooms by revenue through June:

MGM National Harbor: $10,485,985
Live! Casino: $7,944,835
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore: $2,981,342
Hollywood Casino Perryville: $576,240

Two of the state’s six casinos don’t offer poker.

How did the poker market fare in terms of a year-over-year comparison? Per the state data, the poker rooms raked $3.27 million in June 2017, so revenue was up 3.6 percent in June. Through the first six months of 2017, the poker market was $22.28 million.

Maryland’s poker market was down 1.3 percent through the first six months of this year.
