Many online poker players would do almost anything to win a seat into the
World Series of Poker main event. Rick "RAC00N" Austin, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, was one of those lucky thousands who secured their main-event seats through online qualifiers; the major difference here is that he has five seats to spare.
Austin recently won the Full Tilt
King of the Main Event promotion that awards the player who wins the most main-event seats an additional prize package. There was really no contest, as Austin won six seats into the main event (the extra five were simply awarded to him as $12,000 cashes), which easily beat out the 11 players tied for second place with just two seats won.
The package that Austin won includes a crown superimposed on the Full Tilt avatar of his choice, first-class round-trip airfare to Vegas, limo service to and from the airport in Vegas, and a free suite at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. He also collected an extra $25,000 for besting the previous record of five seats won, held by Azimut. That, along with his five extra seats, netted him $85,000 in cash to go with his beefed-up main-event package.
