Choctaw Casino Resort is somehow going to get even bigger!

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma announced on Tuesday plans to expand the resort with additional gaming space, more hotel rooms, added parking, more dining, retail, and entertainment options, and a brand new pool with a lazy river.

“More than 30 years ago our tribe had the vision to begin this expedition by purchasing the 50 acres that the resort resides on today,” Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Chief Gary Batton said. “The property was the starting point for many wonderful things to come for our tribe. We are elated to continue to grow with our community and improve the lives of our tribal and community members. This expansion will help the local economy and meet the demands of our growing customer base.”

Crews are expected to start in the spring, with construction scheduled to take roughly two years. The project is expected generate 1,000 new jobs.

This is the tribe’s fourth expansion project at the casino complex since opening in 2006. The resort added the Grand Tower in 2010, and a movie theater and family entertainment space in 2015. The massive resort boasts more than 4,000 slot machines and 60 tables games, and nearly 800 hotel rooms.
