2018 Card Player Poker Tour Seneca Fall Poker Classic: Taheem Amandeep Leads After Day 1B

A total of 75 entries were made on day 1B of the 2018 Card Player Poker Tour Seneca Fall Poker Classic $1,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. There have now been a total of 96 entries made in this $200,000 guaranteed event, with one starting flight left to play.

Only 11 players survived after 15 levels of poker action on day 1B. The joined the three who moved on from day 1A. Taheem Amandeep emerged as the overall chip leader, ending the night with 439,000. He overcame day 1A’s Barry Kruger, who finished with 424,000. Other large stacks include Jason James (403,500), Chris Meyers (261,000) and Raymond Book (258,500).

Dan Wagner, who won this tournament in 2016, was knocked out late on day 1A. He returned for day 1B and managed to make it through the second starting flight with 108,000.

The third and final starting flight will begin on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 11:00 a.m. local time. Players will start with 30,000 in chips, with 40-minute blind levels. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 11. The schedule calls for each starting flight to play 15 levels or until the field is narrowed to the final 12 percent. Players may enter all of the flights, but only their largest stack will carry forward for Day 2.

2017 Champion Guy KlassLast year the $200,000 guarantee for this event was easily surpassed when 271 total entries built a final prize pool of $239,212. In the end, Guy Klass came out on top, capturing the title and the top prize of $58,608.

Like Klass, the eventual champion of this year’s event will not only walk away with a handsome payday but will also make the cover of Card Player magazine!

The Seneca Gaming and Entertainment poker room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the first floor of the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel.
