A New York man has been arrested following an early Sunday morning attack on casino patrons at a bus terminal at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
Police have confirmed that surveillance footage shows the man, Jean Bossier, tickling a sleeping person before ramping up his attack to full-blown punches.
An inebriated Bossier allegedly approached a woman sleeping at the casino bus stop and tickled her, prompting her to wake up and push away from him. Bossier then stood up and hit her several times, even picking up a chair before onlookers jumped to her defense.
Bossier then punched several of the good Samaritans before police responded. It apparently took three officers to subdue him.
The 58-year-old has been charged with single counts of disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness. District Judge Antonia Grifo set bail at $2,500, but Bossier was unable to post and was sent to Northampton County Prison to await his hearing.
